From Coma to College — From TBI to Transcendence — From PTSD to Purpose — From Damn Near Dead to Digital Renaissance Man...
I'm always seeking ways to show our species its worth.
I've thought about using a pen-name, but it always somehow seems less real, makes my job of being authentic harder, and separates me from my readers and listeners, so here I am, back at me.
Back at "me" has been a lifelong process.
Really, I'm still finding my writing voice, but I'm sharing my discovery of it while writing it out.
Whether recovering from a traumatic brain injury that left me in a coma just a few weeks before I graduated high school — which I'm actively creating a TEDx talk to share my story with the world — I feel like I'm here to help bridge ancient wisdom into the Aquarian Age.
Alternative healing modalities like craniosacral massage helped me wake up from the coma (2001) despite the hospital doctors not being open to it, a lot of my life has been about finding my fit in the current social fabric.
I'm a college graduate from Ohio State University, with a bachelor's degree in music education, where I specialized on the bassoon, and where I also spent 4 years in the Ohio State Marching Band, playing the mellophone.

Besides writing here on Medium, I also write and perform original music live. One of my dreams is to open for Dave Matthews.

More than Music – Healing!
I’ve largely bootstrapped my own healing journey since I found out about the intersectionality between TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), which had become quite complex by the time the intersectionality was introduced to me in 2015.
I’ve tried a number of different energy healing modalities, including EMDR, EFT (emotional freedom technique), sound healing, and more, including the advanced medical techniques of my dad, Hal Blatman MD. This guy has put me back together more times than I can count and I could not be more grateful or more impressed.
